Vanda coerulea
Vanda coerulea
Vanda coerulea
Vanda species with tessellated coerulea (AKA, “blue” in orchid-speak) flowers.
Grown from seed, so flower characteristics will vary somewhat from plant to plant.
Plants Available: An example of the size available is pictured. Orders will be filled with plants in bud or bloom as blooming season and stock permit. Otherwise, previously bloomed plants comparable to the size shown.
Orchid Care: Grow in bright indirect light and water often. In the hotter months, plants should be watered daily. Reduce watering somewhat with cooler temperatures, when growth has slowed.
This species is an intermediate grower, receiving daytime temperatures between 70-80F in its natural growing environment in the summer. Hobbyists growing in warmer climates can adjust for this by growing plants in somewhat shadier conditions with strong air circulation (as from a nearby fan) when temperatures are peaking.
