Cattleya Orbiter
Cattleya Orbiter
Syn. Sophronitis Orbiter ([coccinea 'Toyko' SSM/JOGA × sib] × cernua)
This mini Cattleya is the offspring of two species from the genus formerly known as Sophronitis. Although now technically classified as Cattleyas, Soph. varieties are distinctive within the Cattleya group—characterized by their compact growth habit and brightly colored flowers, just like this little guy.
Grown from seed so flower characteristics can vary somewhat from plant to plant.
Plants Available: Growing in 2” pots. Plants are blooming-size. Examples of the plants available are pictured.
Orchid Care: Grow in bright indirect light with moderate humidity and strong air circulation. Water generously during active growth but ensure roots dry between waterings. Plants may be potted or mounted. For potted plants, seedling bark, sphagnum, or tree fern fiber may be appropriate depending on the growing environment.
